James (Jim) Gregory Renshaw March 12, 2026 (Age 80) Washougal, Washington Special Forces (Vietnam) Jim,
a quiet man passed away on 12 March 2026. Jim was the fourth child born
to Charles and Teresa Renshaw on 17 November 1945. Jim spent his
childhood in Philadelphia and graduated from Roman Catholic High School.
He attended Temple University and in 1968 graduated and joined the Army
as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was in the Special Forces in Vietnam. Jim made a
career of the Army serving in many locations including Alaska, Germany,
DC (Pentagon). He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 25 years of
service. Upon retirement from the Army, he worked for a government
contractor until his final retirement 2012. After he became a retired
gentleman, he enjoyed fishing and touring the battlefields of the
revolutionary and civil wars. In 2015 he and his wife headed to
Washington State and settled in Washougal WA where he enjoyed fishing,
hiking and travel. Jim is also a life member of the VFW and American
Legion. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula Renshaw and his sister-in-law Dana Difford. In lieu of flowers Jim requests donations to be sent to your favorite charity in his name. A Mass celebrating Jim's life is at 11:00 am on 22 April 2026 at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas, WA. His burial is on 23 April 2026 at 12:30 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent WA where he will be with others soldiers.
