MARY LOU PEAKE
August 19, 1935 ˜ March 1, 2025

Mary Lou Peake peacefully passed away, March 1, 2025. Mary Lou embraced this day so she could fulfill her dream and see Bob Peake, the love of her life and was married to him for 62 years. Mary Lou was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Tipton, KS. Mary Lou was a daughter to parents; Frank and Ann. Mary Lou was one of three children including, her brother Don and sister Norma. Mary Lou always was a hard worker but always had a smile on her face. Mary Lou loved being a wife and mother. Bob and Mary Lou had a relationship that many never experience in their lifetimes. She loved being a mother and raising her children.

She worked many years at the Neder’s Cafe, which her mother owned. Mary Lou also spent many of her working years as a bus driver. The love Mary Lou had for children was indescribable, she truly loved her life and making a difference. She loved being a school bus driver, evidenced by the stories she loved to tell over and over about her students; it gave her so much joy on a daily basis and she truly loved this job. She also loved making a difference. She stood by Bob Peake’s side until her later years as she accompanied Bob and side by side they would give their time to the VFW, participating in whatever needs or activity they needed help with. She received many awards for her volunteer services, she was a member for years in the VFW women’s Auxiliary. Mary Lou in her later years enjoyed quilting, making heart shaped pillows and blankets; these were all donated to the VA Hospital’s, as well as other Children’s Hospitals.

Mary Lou’s requested for no funeral service to be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Bob, and her son Alan. She will be missed by many.
