Greta Ann Railing passed peacefully at home September 1, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of son, Tom Railing and wife Loretta, who tenderly cared for her the last few years.
She was the daughter of Edward Sparr and Freda (Olson) Sparr, Swedish immigrants who settled in Minnesota before moving the family to Vancouver about 1943. Greta was proud of her Swedish heritage.
Greta graduated from Vancouver High School in 1949. In 1950 she married Harold Railing, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his passing. Together they made their home in the Camas area for more than 70 years, raising five children.
Greta worked for over 35 years as a bank teller with two Camas credit unions and also spent a short time at the iconic Camas restaurant, Top Burger. She served for many years as an officer in the VFW Auxiliary Post 4278 and the district level.
Greta treasured her family especially her grandchildren spending much time with them when they were younger. She enjoyed her VFW Auxiliary community and many dear friends.
