MARY ESTHER (WARREN) CASE

October 18, 1927 ~ October 24, 2015
"Memories live eternal."

Mary Esther (Warren) Case, 88, of Vancouver, WA, formerly of Portland, OR, passed away on Oct. 24, 2015. She was born in Canadian, TX on Oct. 18, 1927 to Eula and Fletcher Warren.
Mary earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and her Master's degree from Portland State University.
She married the love of her life, Robert O. Case, Jan. 12, 1952. They co-founded a business that is still family run. Robert preceded her in death after 44 years of marriage.
Mary was an active member of the Portland Rose Society, Flower Lane Garden Club and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 4278. She enjoyed the arts, particularly the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Symphony, and Chamber Music NW. Mary was also a longtime supporter and season ticket holder for the Portland Winterhawks. She enjoyed traveling the world with friends and family and also relaxing with a good book at the cabin she built with her husband.
Mary is survived by her brother, Sam Warren; sister-in-law, Wendy Warren; daughter, Marjorie (Case) Stetson; son-in-law, Stephen Stetson; her son, Warren R. Case; daughter-in-law, Beth Case; and her grandchildren, Cynthia Stetson, Christina (Stetson) Flint, Erin Flint, Anna Case, and Trevor Case.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to PeaceHealth Hospice Southwest and to the staff and their families at Windsor Gardens Memory Care, for their compassionate care for Mary.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the Spring of 2016.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Voice of Democracy SOS Fund (VFW Post 4278, P.O. Box 579, Camas, WA 98607) or PeaceHealth Hospice Southwest (P.O. Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668).
