August 15, 1921 - June 7, 2007

Orville Harry Chase peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 07, 2007 at his home. Born on August 15, 1921 in Michigan, Orville was 85 years old. A resident of Camas-Washougal for 50 years, Orville worked as a welder. He was a Veteran of WWII where he earned two purple hearts while stationed in France and Belgium. He was a lifetime member of the Camas-Washougal VFW Schick-Ogle Post #4278, and was a member of the Volcano's A and 49ers Travel Club. He enjoyed his horses, hunting, fishing, rending to his roses and garden, traveling to Arizona, gambling, cribbage, John Wayne movies, welding, and restoring his antique Ford Model A and Model T. Orville is survived by his loving wife of 61 years LaVerne at home, son David (Carolyn) Chase of Vancouver, daughters Linda (Terry) Sayles of Vancouver and Cindy McClaflin of Washougal, brother Edward Chase of Stevenson, sister Mary Hovey of Shelby, Michigan, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
